The Opportunities

We are looking for full-time Civil Construction/Mining Surveyor located close to Waihi for mining work, with construction work throughout Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Coromandel Peninsular. Our NZ team is involved in a wide range of construction projects across the country. Alongside standard construction surveys, we're Part 102 certified and use drones for photogrammetry. LiDAR, and bathymetric surveys. Combine that with our scanning and mining work, and there's no chance you'll be bored.  

In this role, you will work Monday to Friday on a variety of construction sites using advanced surveying technology and industry best practices. If you're on a mining role, you are likely to work an 8 on 6 off roster.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conducting construction surveys to establish, monitor, and verify spatial data
• Ensuring accurate alignment and placement of infrastructure
• Utilising cutting-edge technology to perform high-precision measurements
• Interpreting and analysing construction plans and specifications
• Collaborating with project teams to provide spatial data insights
• Identifying and resolving survey discrepancies and technical challenges
• Travelling to project sites as required to support operations
• Supporting recent graduates and undergraduates in developing technical skills

Ideal Candidate Profile

You'll have either a relevant qualification in surveying or some practical experience. You don't need both- just one and a solid willingness to learn. 

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

• Strong technical proficiency in surveying methodologies and emerging industry technologies
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
• A proactive approach to innovation and continuous learning
• Experience with AutoCad, Infinity and TBC software

You will also be an effective communicator and team player, able to collaborate seamlessly with project stakeholders while anticipating and solving challenges before they arise.
