The Opportunity

We are looking for a full-time Senior Construction Surveyor based in Sydney, NSW.

We are seeking a technically capable Senior Construction Surveyor who enjoys variety, responsibility and solving real-world construction challenges. You will work across a diverse portfolio of projects, providing accurate survey solutions from initial set-out through to project completion.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Take ownership of survey delivery across active construction and infrastructure projects
• Plan, coordinate and execute survey activities from project commencement through to completion
• Deliver engineering set-out and establish survey control for structural, civil and infrastructure works
• Complete construction surveys including footings, slabs, columns, services, pavements and structural elements
• Establish, verify and maintain site control networks to ensure accuracy throughout project delivery
• Interpret IFC drawings, engineering plans and specifications to support construction outcomes
• Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies between design documentation and site conditions
• Complete as-built surveys, monitoring surveys and deformation surveys where required
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure survey outputs meet project tolerances, specifications and contractual requirements
• Process survey data and prepare accurate survey deliverables, including models and documentation
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, site supervisors and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges
• Utilise modern surveying workflows including robotic total stations, GNSS, 3D scanning and UAV technology
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior survey team members, contributing to capability development and knowledge sharing
• Travel to project sites across the Sydney Metropolitan region as required

Ideal Candidate Profile

You hold a relevant qualification in surveying and have demonstrated experience in Australian construction surveying.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, tolerances and QA processes
• Experience establishing and maintaining survey control
• Proficiency with Total Stations, GNSS equipment, AutoCAD, Magnet software, data transfer and field-to-finish workflows
• Experience with 3D scanning and UAV workflows (desirable)
• Solid understanding of Australian standards and surveying best practice
• Ability to work independently on site while maintaining accuracy under pressure
• Australian working rights

You are someone with a high level of attention to detail, strong technical accuracy, analytical thinking and spatial problem-solving skills. You take pride in delivering quality outcomes and work effectively with engineers, contractors, project managers and internal teams to anticipate and resolve challenges.
