The Opportunity
We are looking for a full-time Construction Surveyor based in Sydney, NSW.
Our Sydney team service the Sydney development and infrastructure market. Our team of Registered and Engineering Surveyors have delivered high accuracy spatial solutions to Tier Two contactors and developers for many years across commercial, civil and residential projects.
Our service capability includes engineering set - out, land subdivisions, cadastral boundary work, volumetric surveys, 3D laser scanning, and UAV data capture.
We are seeking a technically capable Construction Surveyor to support ongoing projects across the Sydney Metropolitan area.
In this role, you will work on a variety of construction sites using advanced surveying technology and industry best practices.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Engineering set-out and control establishment for civil and structural works
- Construction surveys including detailed set-out of footings, slabs, columns, services, pavements and structural elements
- Establishment, verification, and adjustment of site control networks
- Monitoring and deformation surveys where required
- As-built surveys and preparation of accurate survey deliverables
- Interpretation of IFC drawings, engineering plans, and specifications
- QA checks to ensure compliance with project tolerances and contractual requirements
- Data processing, drafting, and preparation of survey models
- Identification and resolution of discrepancies between design documentation and site conditions
- Liaison with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors
- Travel to project sites across the Sydney Metropolitan region as required
Ideal Candidate Profile
You have a relevant qualification in surveying. Minimum 3+ years experience in Australia construction surveying.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, tolerances, and QA processes
- Experience establishing and maintaining survey control
- Proficiency in, Total Stations and GNSS equipment, AutoCAD, Magnet software, Data transfer and field-to-finish workflows
- Experience with 3D scanning and UAV workflows (desirable)
- Solid Understanding of Australian standards and surveying best practice
- Ability to work independently on site while maintaining accuracy under pressure
- Legal working rights in Australia
